Definitive Technology VDCA
I bought the Mythos 8 to upgrade my existing system. The old system used the Synergy speakers from Klipsch for the center, rear surround, and front effect speakers. The Mythos 8 is noticeably more efficient and has a wider range as well. This unit works quite well as a center channel speaker, but it would be too harsh and it would lack the low-end punch to serve as a main. Its not fully broken in yet, but I do sense a growing clarity at the low end after about 20 hours of use.The front panel is dark gray and the aluminum body can stand out if it does not match the rest of the system.
